Are you happy with your insignificance in this Universe?

Question

Are you happy with your insignificance in this Universe?
Thanks for your significant opinion.

Answer

insignificance is relative. Perhaps on a universal scale we are all insignificant, but to my family, to my employers, to my friends, to my debtors, I am significant. If you watch an ant hill with thousands of ants, each of them going along their merry way, stomp on or of them, and the rest just continue on their merry way. Your significance is to YOU. Not the universe, If someone stomped on you, your significance would end. Even for your friends and family, the grieving and memories is all that is left of you. Insignificant, life goes on. YOUR life is what YOU make of it. The universe could care less if you are rich or poor, helpful or destructive, benevolent or psycho. If you are trying to be universally significant, you just might have set your sights a little too high.I personally enjoy being helpful and friendly to others, which for a time makes me significant to them, but in the end, the only significance is to myself. When I die, life goes on. Even fame will only preserve the memory of you, your significance ends when you die. Invent something that the generations will use long after you are gone, it is significant to them, not you. And someone else would have invented it sooner or later. You will answer for your life, even if it is just to yourself. Write a song or poem, or save a nation. When you are gone, it will be remembered, but insignificant to you. And only significant to others if they choose it to be. If you stop someone from dying, or perhaps the world from being destroyed, for that moment you are significant to them, but the moment ends. Being happy with who you are is all there is, without that you arent even significant to yourself.
