To all book worms.....suggest a good book for me to read.?
I love all sorts of books, so please give me a few suggestions. Preferably contemporary books, although you can give me the names of some classics too if they are really good. Alsowhat is your favourite book???

A Song of Ice and Fire by George RR Martin An amazing epic famntasy series, my personal favorite, it is very gritty and harsh at times, but if sex and violence doesnt bother you too much, the plot lines are amazing without getting too hard to follow. There is a lot of detail, and it is a lot of politics, but the world created and the characters are better designed than any other fantasy I have read.brbrPrince of Nothing by R. Scott Bakker This is another fantasy series. It is basically the same as Martin in terms of grit, but this is a completed trilogy that is part of a bigger series, The Second Apocalypse, whereas ASOIAF is not yet finished, if you dont want an incomplete series. This one also struck me as very philosophical at points, and I really enjoyed it.brbrAngelas Ashes by Frank McCourt I had to read this one for school recently and I adored it. If you havent read it, definitely try it sometime.brbrThursday Next books by Jasper Fforde These are literary mysteries, and they are pretty damn funny. Theyre basically about a literary detective, Thursday Next, who has to go into books to corect plotlines and such. I really enjoyed them.brbrThe Teammates by David Halberstam This is about four members of the Boston Red Sox Ted Williams, Bobby Doerr, Johnny Pesky, and Dom DiMaggio and the friendship they formed when playing together. Its worth the read even if youre not a sports fan, and even moreso if you are. Just a great tale of four friends, who also happened to be amazing baseball players. One of my personal favorites.brbrAre You Dave Gorman? by Dave Gorman and Danny Wallace Just flat out hilarity. Anything by either of these guys is worth the read.brbrFallen Angels by Walter Dean Myers One of the best and most emotional books Ive read recently. I absolutely loved this one.brbrOkay, so theres plenty more I could rec, but Ive listed quite the variety here, and if you read one of these and like it, come back and ask for authors that are like whichever one you liked!
